Mr. Magdy Nabil has more than 28 years of professional experience in financial regulation and supervision, capital markets, non-banking financial services, regulatory and legislative development, corporate governance, risk management, and corporate finance.

He began his professional career in the capital markets in 1998 at the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) of Egypt, progressing through a number of technical and senior leadership positions and ultimately serving as Head of Capital Markets Surveillance from 2017 to 2023. Through this progressive career, he gained comprehensive experience across various areas of financial markets, including financial legislation, trading, listing and disclosure, IPOs, acquisitions, and financial instruments.

During his tenure as Head of Capital Markets Surveillance, Mr. Nabil led the market regulation and supervision function, overseeing the development of regulatory rules and procedures and the implementation of market surveillance tools and methodologies. He also played a direct role in developing and amending the laws, regulations, and rules governing the Egyptian Capital Market, as well as establishing new regulatory frameworks to keep pace with regional and international market developments and emerging financial instruments.

His professional expertise is further supported by specialized training and certifications from leading international institutions, including the U.S. CFTC and SEC, Germany’s BaFin, Deutsche Bundesbank and Eurex – Frankfurt Stock Exchange, Dubai Financial Market, and IOSCO, in addition to being a Certified Market Risk Specialist by the American Bankers Association.

In 2023, Mr. Nabil founded Fin-Serv for Financial Solutions, a specialized advisory firm providing financial and strategic advisory services in capital markets, corporate finance, corporate governance, compliance, risk management, restructuring, financial solutions, and FinTech. The firm serves as an advisor to a number of financial institutions, investment companies, and major corporate entities in Egypt.
